Government Action - The Montreal Protocol
The Montreal Project was agreed on September 1987, though it was only put into action on January 1989. It was made to reduce the amount of greenhouse gases, specifically F-Gases, produced because of industrial purposes, as the government was becoming more and more aware of problems that would be caused by global warming. It was endorsed by 46 countries, and has since been adjusted 6 times. The parties representatives meet annually.
